Lee David Zlotoff is an award-winning writer, producer and director of film and television. Among his more than one hundred hours of film and television credits, he was the creator/writer of the hit series “MacGyver” as well as the writer/director of the indie hit film “Spitfire Grill” which won the coveted Audience Award at the Sundance film festival, and which has also gone on to become a successful musical. In addition, he has been a regular contributor to MAKE magazine and has also taught writing for film and television at a number of schools and universities, including USC and Columbia College of Chicago. Lee graduated with honors from St. John’s College—known as ‘The Great Books School’– in Annapolis, MD where he has most served on the Board of Directors and is currently a member of The Presidents’ Council.
Though he remains active in the entertainment business—currently developing and producing the MacGyver movie among other projects, Lee also lectures frequently on a variety of topics including MacGyver: TV Show to Global Meme, The Three & ½ Secrets to Success in Hollywood, and most recently The MacGyver Method which, among other companies and organizations, he was recently asked to present to the entire 1300+ work force of the internet phenomenon Zappos Inc.
